What parameters do lime plants need to specify when choosing bag filters?

When choosing a bag filter, lime plants need to clarify the following parameters:

1、 Characteristic parameters of lime dust

Chemical properties of dust

-Lime dust is alkaline, which requires the filter bag material of the bag filter to have alkali resistance. Common alkali resistant filter bag materials include polyester (PET) and others.

-At the same time, it is necessary to consider whether lime dust contains other impurities or harmful substances.

dust concentration

-The dust concentration varies greatly in different production stages of lime plants. Accurate measurement of dust concentration is required at the discharge port of the lime kiln, conveyor belt, finished product packaging, and other locations.

2、 Wind volume and pressure parameters

Required air volume

-The determination of air volume needs to consider factors such as the production scale, number of production equipment, and layout of the lime plant. Determine the total air volume by calculating the ventilation rate for each dust producing point.

-For example, in a production workshop that produces 1000 tons of lime per day, if multiple lime kilns and conveying equipment are running simultaneously, it may require tens of thousands of cubic meters of processing air per hour based on factors such as the size of the workshop space and the dust removal speed of the equipment. Accurate air volume data helps to select appropriate specifications for fans and bag filters, ensuring effective collection and treatment of all generated dust.

System resistance (wind pressure)

-The system resistance is related to factors such as the length, diameter, number of bends, and resistance of the filter bag of the pipeline. It is necessary to measure and calculate the resistance of the entire system from the dust generation point to the bag filter, and then to the exhaust outlet in detail.

3、 Site related parameters

Size and shape of the venue space

-Provide a plan and height information of the installation site for the bag filter. If the space on the site is limited, it is necessary to choose a compact bag filter or a dust collector with a split design to make reasonable use of the space.

-The environment of a lime plant may be harsh, and factors such as temperature, humidity, and corrosive gases need to be considered. If there is a water source or high humidity near the site, it may be necessary to perform rust prevention treatment on the outer shell of the bag filter; If the temperature is too high (such as near a lime kiln), the high temperature resistance of the filter bag and other components needs to be considered.

4、 Working time and frequency parameters

Equipment operating time

-Specify the daily or weekly operating time required for the bag filter. If the lime plant is in continuous production, such as 24-hour uninterrupted operation, then the bag filter needs to have high reliability and stability, and consider the service life and replacement cycle of the filter bag.

Operating frequency of dust generating equipment

-Provide the start and stop frequency of dust producing equipment such as lime kilns and conveying equipment. If the dust generating equipment is frequently started and stopped, it will cause significant instantaneous changes in dust concentration, which requires the bag filter to respond quickly and adjust the fan speed and dust removal efficiency.
